A Journey Through Our Milestones
Founded with a passion for excellence, Vulcan Seals has been at the forefront of sealing technology for over three decades. Our mission is to deliver reliable and innovative sealing solutions that meet the diverse needs of our clients across various industries.
1986
The Beginning
Founded by Gerry Quinn to develop products compatible with the niche market of Single Spring Mechanical Seals, all from his lounge.
1989
Our First Vulcan Seals Office
A single room office on the second floor of Westgate Chambers in Rotherham was our first real home.
1990
Our Move to Attercliffe
In 4 years, we had grown enough to secure our first premises, March Street in Attercliffe.
1994
First Official Headquarters
As the business grew over the decade, we moved to our current head offices located in the heart of Sheffield, UK.
This would house our sales, commercial and support offices, automated logistics systems, quality and inspection, product warehouses and the global distribution centre.
1997
Business Expansion
The expansion of our product portfolio as well as our customer base was increasing, which resulted in the global expansion of our facilities to manufacturer and supply.
2007
IS0 9001:2015
Achievement of ISO 9001 which continues today throughout our manufacturing and distribution capabilities (ISO 9001:2015).
2010
Opening of Vulcan Seals Inc (VSI)
Vulcan Seals Inc. opened in Minneapolis, MN, to replicate the UK facility and support our growing demand in the North American market.
2012
£10 Million Target
Achievement of £10 million turnover target was marked with a celebratory trip of a lifetime to NYC for all employees and their partners.
2016
Celebration of 30 Years
Celebration of the business turning 30 and our attendance at Achema where we were able to strengthen our ever growing customer base.
2022
Netherlands Operational Hub
Vulcan Engineering B.V. opened in Zuid-Beijerland, to replicate the UK distribution facility and support our growing demand in the European market.
2022
Houston Texas Facility
Vulcan Seals Inc. opened in Houston, TX, to replicate the UK commercial and production facility and support our growing demand in the North American market.
