Vulcan Seals is taking a giant leap forward in our journey towards sustainable manufacturing excellence. We are thrilled to announce the development of our new headquarters at the prestigious Advanced Manufacturing Park in Sheffield, set to be revealed in mid-2026.
This building is the embodiment of our commitment to innovation, sustainability, and growth. The 50,000 sq. ft. purpose-built facility will provide us with the platform we need to expand our capabilities while dramatically reducing our environmental footprint.
Built for a Net Zero Future
Our new headquarters has been thoughtfully designed from the ground up to achieve Net Zero operations. Here is how we are making it happen:

- Energy recovery systems throughout the building to minimise waste

Next-Gen Warehouse Automation: ACR Robots and Lift Carousels
The automated goods-to-person retrieval system combines high-density storage, up to 48 totes per square meter, with triple-deep racking and advanced robotics. Capable of presenting up to 550 totes per hour without prior sequencing, the system features 22 autonomous robotic units (ACR/AMT) for reliable, high-throughput handling. Designed with operational safety, system redundancy, and a UL94 V-0 fire rating, it ensures both performance and peace of mind.
Complementing this, the vertical lift carousels efficiently manage bulky or irregular items, enabling multi-floor access through integrated ports and acting as dynamic buffer zones. The tray-based architecture supports direct, accurate picking for streamlined material flow.
Expanding Our Operational Capabilities
The new facility will dramatically enhance our operational capacity with:
- Container dock and high bay forklift pallet bays for efficient bulk storage
- Mezzanine production setup with multi-level vertical storage
- User-friendly "pick to user" storage systems
- 10,000 sq. ft of modern office space
- 100+ car parking spaces with EV charging points
These features will allow us to increase production, enhance our Research & Development capabilities, and improve our distribution network, all while manufacturing the world-class Mechanical Seal and Encapsulated O-ring products our customers and partners expect from us.
